Potential Canon 6D Release?
Is Canon making moves to release a new line of cameras? All signs are pointing to yes, with the recent release of the S100, a new addition to the Powershot line of cameras. This is the first tangible camera news in a while from the Japanese manufacturer, and it is great for everyone waiting for the bigger news at hand. Canon has not upgraded their line of digital single lens reflex cameras in a while and most people are waiting on news for the top of the line cameras. There has not been much news from Canon since the earthquake in March of 2011. Canon did suffer some damage to their factory, which produces the DSLR cameras. Thankfully, no workers were seriously injured and it seems that things are returning to normalcy for the premier digital camera manufacturer.
Now the issue at hand, which we still do not have any news on is what is coming out. There is a lot of speculation out there, but nothing is firm just yet. Will the Canon 6D replace the 5D line, or will Canon extend the line with the 5D Mark III? Whatever Canon decides to do with the line, we can all expect some great improvements to this top of the line professional build camera. There are not many cameras that compete with the Canon line of DSLRs, only Nikon and a few select manufacturers can hold a candle to Canon. They have perfected their craft and always raise the bar higher with each new camera.
Stay Tuned for More Information on the Canon 6D Release Date
While there is still no hard news on the Canon 6D, there is a big press release scheduled by Canon for the first part of November, 2011. The exact date is Friday November 3rd. Could this be the date that we have all been waiting for? We do anticipate some ground breaking news, as we have not heard anything for a long time from Canon. Canon is notorious for not releasing any information about their cameras until they are just about ready to ship, so the fact that they are planning something this big is epic and exciting. Stay tuned as we will keep you informed on anything that may surface before the release/launch party, we are hoping for a Canon 6D, but it very well could be the Canon 5D Mark III. Either way we will be happy of the outcome.
